Transfer Talk: Bryan Cristante Lined Up to Replace Milinkovic-Savic?

With the summer quickly approaching, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been turning the heads of many of Europe’s elite clubs. With the player’s future unknown, Lazio have been trying to line up potential replacements. One such name that has popped up in recent days is Bryan Cristante. The Italian, on loan at Atalanta from Benfica, has performed well so far this season – could he be on his way to the Olimpico?

When Milinkovic-Savic spoke recently, the midfielder said “I cannot wait to go to Russia and show my value with Serbia.” There is no doubt Tare and Lotito will watch him closely; hoping he makes a huge impact in the World Cup. This could potentially lead to his price rising and Lazio getting every penny they can out of him from one of Europe’s top clubs.

Tare seems to already have his replacement ready, with reports stating that he met with Cristante’s agents to work out a deal. Lazio have been working in the shadows for some time to beat Roma and Juventus to his signature. With a deal in the works, they are ready to pay Benfica more than €25 million; promising the player a place in the starting XI next season.

What do you think about Cristante? Can he the perfect replacement if Milinkovic-Savic leaves in the summer?
