According to Tuttosport Lazio are reportedly interested in signing ex-Napoli and Italian attacker Manolo Gabbiadini this summer from Southampton. Claudio Lotito and Igli Tare have been keeping tabs on the 26-year old forward, who are willing to loan him with an option to buy after a certain number of appearances.
After a strong start to his Premier League career in the 2016/2017 season scoring 4 goals in 10 games, Gabbiadini has struggled for goals this campaign, having netted just 4 times in 25 Premier League appearances for the Saints.
With a 6.31 match rating (according to WhoScored.com), the Italian seems unsettled in England and seems to be looking for a return to his home country and Lazio seems to be interested enough to pursue his signature, however there is some stiff competition with Bologna, Sampdoria, and Torino also interested.
Despite being joint-top scorers with Juventus in the Italian top tier this season, 5th-placed Lazio are looking to add extra firepower to their attacking line especially with the chance of them making Champions league next season, as Nani will be leaving the Capital after failing to impress.
