Corriere dello Sport are reporting that Lazio director Igli Tare has set his sights on FC Nantes striker Emiliano Sala. Sala currently features in Claudio Ranieri’s side who have surprised Ligue 1 this season. The side sit in 6th, way above expectations with European football a real possibility for next season. Sala has been instrumental, scoring 14 goals in 31 games this season.
With definite strength needed in attack for Lazio, Sala has been identified to provide back-up for the prolific Ciro Immobile. Felipe Caicedo has struggled to find his feet and Lazio’s youth prospects aren’t quite ready for the first team yet. Portuguese winger Nani has also failed to make an impact and is set to return to Valencia.
