Lazio midfielders Marco Parolo are Senad Lulic are facing a race against time to be fit for the Europa League return leg with RB Salzburg.
The biancocelesti travel to Austria on Thursday in what could be a very memorable game for them if they are able to win, and progress to the semi-finals – something that has been only done 4 times in their history.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Parolo missed Sunday’s win against Udinese with a groin injury, and could be absent again this Thursday. The midfielder didn’t train with his teammates yesterday, as he was “still feeling some pain from the injury”. If Parolo does not return to training today, it will become increasingly likely that he will have to miss the Quarter-Final second leg in Austria. The Italian international scored in the 4-2 win in the first leg, putting his side 3-2 up with a wonderful backheel flick.
Senad Lulic who was substituted at half-time against Udinese is also a doubt with a bruised thigh.
