Last night at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino, Lazio took down Torino by a score of 0-1. In addition to meeting on the pitch, the two teams may also interested in meeting the transfer market.
In particular, according to Tuttosport, Lazio are in constant pursuit of Torino’s Daniele Baselli. The central midfielder is seen as a potential replacement for last night’s only goal-scorer, Sergej Milinković-Savić if he is sold this summer.
Unfortunately for Lazio, Torino chairman Urbano Cairo has repeatedly declined offers for their star midfielder. Furthermore, Torino coach Walter Mazzari considers Baselli a crucial piece in Il Toro’s project.
The 26-year-old Italian has over 150 Serie A appearances under his belt, most of them coming with Torino since arriving in July of 2015 from Atalanta.
He has appeared in 28 Serie A matches this season for Il Toro and has an average match rating of 6.80 according to whoscored.com.
