Misfortune for Lazio  in the form of injuries, breaks down on the biancoceleste in this season finale stretch.

After Ciro Immobile, who was a victim of a stretched muscle during the last match against Torino, Luis Alberto was stopped in today’s game.

The Spaniard suffered pain in his right thigh and came out in the 37th minute of the first half during LazioAtalanta. At first many thought it was a pulled groin, but much more than a sensation leads one to think that also for him is a stretched muscle. He was seen leaving the pitch in frustration and disappointment and at a first glance, the Lazio doctor’s diagnosis has said it is almost season ending.

We wait for the official diagnosis, but the final two matches against Crotone and Inter look to be very challenging now to maintain in a Champions League spot. With Inter winning today against Udinese (4-0), and Roma having an easier match against a struggling Cagliari, Lazio looks to be in 4th place with 71 points after this week’s match-day. Inter will be just below them with 69 points, while Roma currently sits with 70 points (victory will take them to 73).

On the other hand, in terms of recoveries, Marco Parolo and Stefan Radu should be available for the match against Crotone.

For the Scudetto race, Napoli tied Torino today 2-2, which leaves Juventus ahead by 6 points after their victory 3-1 against Bologna. The championship seems to be over as Juventus only needs a tie or victory in their final two matches to mathematically clinch the cup.

Will Lazio be able to make the Champions League?

What will the final standings look like?
