17 goals and 5 assists in Ligue 1: the profile of Karl Toko Ekambi is more than interesting. The Cameroonian striker is locked in the ranks of Angers, with whom he has a contract until 2020. However, the class of ’92 talent could be on the move in the summer, even if the club has already refused 20 million euros for him during the winter transfer window.

France Football has elaborated ideas on the possible destinations of the attacker. In addition to Villarreal, Nice, Everton, and Schalke 04, there is also Lazio.

According to the prestigious sports magazine, Simone Inzaghi’s team would be a perfect destination for the assets of the striker. “In Italy to form the stimulating partnership of Toko Ekambi – Ciro Immobile”, imagines the magazine, which sees the Roman club the ideal one for the clinical Cameroonian. This would be an even more credible solution if Lazio were to sell Milinković-Savić: with a bag full of money, then, they could decide to knock on the door of the French club to bring him to the biancocelesti side.

Ekambi started off his career at Paris FC, scoring 21 goals in four seasons with the 3rd division side before earning a move to Sochaux in Ligue 2 in 2014 where he managed 25 goals in two seasons. The six-foot-tall forward then signed for Ligue 1 side Angers (his current team) for 1 million euros in 2016.

His 9 goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances to start this season attracted interest from England: Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion were reported to have made a bid for Ekambi which was rejected. Ekambi also has 17 caps for the Cameroonian national team, scoring twice.

This can be a good signing for Lazio who would most likely to be looking to replace the Ecuadorian Felipe Caicedo, who could be on his way out at the end of the season.
