Mercato365 is suggesting that AS Monaco center-back Jemerson is attracting interest from Italy, with both Lazio and AC Milan mentioned as potential locations.

The 25-year-old signed for AS Monaco from Atletico Mineiro for €11 million in January 2016, signing a contract until the summer of 2020. Since signing for the French club, Jemerson has played 101 games for them and has scored four times. This season, he has starred in 42 games in all competitions for Monaco, achieving an average of 1.4 tackles, 1.8 interceptions, 5.1 clearances and 0.8 blocks per game.

After coming through the youth ranks at Atletico Mineiro, Jemerson played 71 games for Mineiro’s first team before completing his move to Monaco. On June 13th, 2017, he made his debut and only appearance for the Brazilian national team in a World Cup Qualification match against Peru.

Jemerson was a big part of the Monaco team that won Ligue 1 in the 16/17 season, playing 49 games in all competitions for them in that season. Lazio enquired about the signing of the Brazilian last summer but was eventually put off by the price. With Champions League qualification a possibility of Lazio, this could give the biancoceleste the funds to pursue the Monaco center-back once more.
