Report: Lazio hunt for Vice-Immobile – eyes turn to Akhisarspor’s Paulo Henrique

With the news that Felipe Caicedo and Nani will not be a part of Inzaghi’s set-up at Lazio next season, the hunt must continue for a back-up for Ciro Immobile; potentially even two. Lucas Perez of Arsenal has been highly linked with a move, with the Spaniard not set to feature in new head coach Unai Emery’s plans at the Emirates. Now, CittaCeleste are reporting that Lazio could be turning their attention to Brazilian forward Paulo Henrique, currently on the books at Akhisarspor.

The 29-year-old has been in the Turkish league since he signed on a free transfer from Shanghai Shenhua at the end of the 16/17 season. His contract is set to expire in 2020 but he is likely to be available for a fee of no more than €4 million, making him a cheap option.

This season, he started 15 games in all competitions for Akhisarspor, making a further 11 appearances as a substitute. In these games, he found the back of the net six times, assisted another three and was responsible for an average of 0.7 key passes per/game.
