Report: Chelsea to offer €40 million for Felipe Anderson

Last week, we released reports suggesting Felipe Anderson has arrived at a crossroads, either sign a renewal at Lazio and face being an alternative option to Luis Alberto, or request to leave the club. Claudio Lotito expressed the club would not be accepting bids any less than €40 million but RadioSei have today reported that Chelsea are willing to meet that valuation.

Felipe Anderson’s agents, Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci, are reportedly prepared to come to the meeting with Lazio management with an offer from Chelsea, in an attempt to try and achieve more promises and a higher wage for Felipe Anderson. This move could well and truly cause the player to leave, as Lotito has hardly proved he is the biggest fan of spending over the odds; especially when it comes to keeping one of Lazio’s best players.

Felipe Anderson’s season came back to life after a dull start and the Brazilian showed some true glimpses of magic, including a wonderful goal against Inter Milan on the final day of the season. His contract is currently set to expire in June 2020 yet there is a chance that his Lazio career could be up way before then…
