Last week, we reported that Milan were in pursuit of Lazio star Ciro Immobile

Fresh from the disappointment of the failure to qualify for Champions League, Ciro Immobile does not seem willing to leave the team that raised him, making him one of the most deadly strikers in Europe. Precisely for this reason, Milan hopes to convince Immobile to join the Rossoneri cause by offering him a much richer contract than he receives at Lazio, but Fassone and Mirabelli will have to deal with the assessment of President Claudio Lotito, who has no intention of depriving himself of the bomber.

Recently, new reports suggest Tottenham is in the race for Immobile as well

According to calciomercato.com, it seems that Immobile’s future won’t be with Lazio, amid rumours linking him to other clubs, while the player himself has dropped cryptic messages about his future.

After an excellent season with Lazio in which he scored 41 goals and added 11 assists in 47 games, Tottenham and AC Milan are both interested in his services. The Spurs, however are yet to bid for the striker, but are closely monitoring the situation.

It appears as though i Rossoneri are way ahead of Tottenham in the race for Immobile as they have already taken important steps towards signing the player, as reported by La Gazzetta Dello Sport. Milan have already begun talks with Lazio and with Immobile’s entourage.
However, Milan could be punished by UEFA for their spending, which means the Spurs could get another shot at signing the player, should UEFA’s response to Milan be negative. The striker himself spoke about his future, stating that his agent will handle everything.
“I cannot comment on any news. Many rumours will circulate due to the number of goals I scored this year. I remain calm and let my agents work,” he told TuttoMercatoWeb.
Will the prolific goalscorer be the next player out the door at Lazio?
