Manchester United are in contact with Lazio, but this time is not it for the young Lazio and Serbian superstar Sergej Milinković-Savić – this time, it is for an offer for a possible deal which may include starlets Andreas and Joel Pereira.
The young 1996 born goalkeeper and midfielder were part of a conversation between Lazio and United:
Joel has appeared in only one game for the Red Devils since 2015. Swiss-born, but with a Portuguese background, the young keeper started his youth career at Neuchâtel Xamax before bought by Man United in 2012 for an undisclosed fee. He was then loaned out to first division Portuguese side Belenenses where he appeared in 8 out of 34 matches.
Andreas Pereira was the other player bought by United. The young Belgian born midfielder was loaned out to spanish side Valencia and appeared in 31 games, 11 which he appeared off the bench. He tallied 1 goal and 3 assists in his time with Valencia. His loan spell ended this year and Jose Mourinho and company are looking for a new destination for the player.
Both players are young, fit the description for Igli Tare’s usual targets, and would be useful to Lazio as well: with Thomas Strakosha looking to start next season, for the majority of the season, there is a need a back-up and Joel Pereira could be that man; as for Andreas he is a young midfielder with tonnes of potential and could possibly be a depth player for the Biancocelesti.
Will the young Pereira boys fit in at Lazio?
