Report: Bologna want Di Gennaro, possible loan with option to buy
A revolution to start next year, after a dull 2017/18 season.
Bologna, after firing Donadoni, will begin a new cycle with brother of Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi, Filippo Inzaghi, next year. The current Venezia FC coach – busy with the club in the Serie B play-offs – will be announced at the end of their run. Meanwhile, the Serie A club is already starting to makes moves on the market in terms of players.
The probable departure of Simone Verdi will bring important funds to the Rossoblu side, and one of the goals this summer will be to strengthen the midfield. Among the profiles that appeal to Bologna – according to what was collected exclusively by La Lazio Siamo Noi – there is Lazio’s Davide Di Gennaro.
The former Cagliari man, who has had physical problems in the past (when arriving to Lazio), was not able to find space in the biancocelesti side this past season. He played in only 185 minutes of footballing action this past year (2 substitutions in the Serie A – 9 minutes / 3 starts in the Europa League – 176 minutes), but he could revive his career with the Rossoblu.
He has a contract until 2020 at the Roman club, so the most probable transfer seems to be the formula of a loan with a right of redemption on the basis of 4 million euros.
Simone Inzaghi will most likely not veto his possible departure, as he would be doing a favor to his brother Pippo, and the player.
