The agent of Brazilian centre-back Fabián Balbuena – a long-term transfer target for Lazio – has revealed to Central Deportivo that there has been an offer from Lazio, but it is not what they consider to be the ‘best offer on their table’
Lazio continues to look for de Vrij’s replacement. The negotiations for Francesco Acerbi are proceeding, but he should not be the only arrival in defense for the biancocelesti. In the event of the departure of one of Wallace or Bastos, the Lazio management choose to purchase another defender besides Acerbi.
Igli Tare would have followed his interest for Fabian Balbuena – the 1991-born defender of Brazilian side Corinthians. Already last year, the biancoceleste had observed the Paraguayan defender, who had been one step away from the landing in Rome.
At ‘Central Deportivo’, the player’s attorney, Augusto Paraja, confirmed the interest from Lazio, which has blossomed into a real offer: “There is a real interest from Spain and Italy. There was a first offer from Lazio, as well as one from Celta Vigo. But the most important proposal is that of another team”. Balbuena has been approached, but the competition is strong.
