Felipe Caicedo hasn’t fully convinced, despite the commitment and sacrifice shown, and Lazio will surely move on the market for a vice-Immobile. Simone Inzaghi likes Diego Falcinelli very much, the striker owned by Sassuolo, who has spent the last few months on loan to Fiorentina. Inzaghi was impressed by Falcinelli’s season with Crotone last year, when he scored 13 goals in 35 appearances. These numbers skyrocketed his market value up to 10 million euros. Lazio tried to lower the claims of the neroverdi, but then turned to other options given the firmness of Sassuolo. This year, as reported by Radiosei, the story seems to have changed: only two goals this for Falcinellli. Now his price tag seems to have come down, and Lazio, in addition to Acerbi, could also buy Falcinelli to please Inzaghi.
Another idea in Italy is that of Petagna. He too was chased by Lazio last summer, but Atalanta asked 15 million and Lotito and Tare were more interested in Gomez than the former Milan striker. Petagna hasn’t impressed with the few goals scored in the last seasons. Petagna isn’t a penalty area bomber and he prefers to play for his teammates. More similar characteristics to Caicedo than to those of which Lazio is said to be looking for.
In the event that the negotiations in Italy shouldn’t go in the right direction, Lazio would turn to foreign options. The profile identified by Tare seems to be that of Wesley Moraes, 21-year-old Club Brugge striker, who is valued 6-7 million by the Belgian club. Wesley is young, with important technical qualities and also a lot of physicality, he’s considered a true talent and this year he scored 11 goals in 38 appearances. Among the other profiles there are also those already mentioned by Ekambi, Bamba, Sala and finally Lucas Perez.
