Lazio has set its sights on Antonino La Gumina, the 22-year-old Italian striker owned by Palermo.

The biancocelesti would like the player in attack to support, or reinforce Immobile, but much will depend on the season finale of the rosanero. They are currently in the playoffs to try and achieve promotion to the Serie A TIM and if so, they will most likely want to keep the forward who has helped their cause along the journey this season – however, failure to do so may result in the offload of a few players, La Gumina being a possible departure according to Il Messaggero.

La Gumina made 29 appearances in the league this season, managing to bag himself 9 goals and 2 assists; in the playoff’s only game so far, he was also able to grab a goal in the 1-1 draw against Venezia.

A youth player with the side, he has grown up through the ranks of La Rosa, and was sent on loan to Ternana for the 2016/17 season, where he managed 19 total appearances. A positive display, this is when Palermo had to the idea to give a try in the starting 11 of their side, and he has not looked back, becoming essential to Palermo’s terrific run this year.

A striker with great promise, he knows hw to keep a calm and cool head inside the 18-yard box – most of the goals scored this season were within this range with intricate passing provided to other players as well.

One for the future, it would be phenomenal if Lazio are able to take him to their side.
