Lazio are ready to push on the accelerator. In just four days time, the 2018 FIFA World Cup will commence and the biancoceleste would like to conclude the negotiations for Uruguayan winger Diego Laxalt before then. The Genoa midfielder is ready to go with the Uruguay team to Russia, where he will have the chance to impress on the world stage.
Genoa president Preziosi has said that he wants to wait until the World Cup is over to further increase the interest for Laxalt.
However, as reported by Radiosei, the negotiations between Lazio president Claudio Lotito and Preziosi will go ahead. The rossoblu club would like €15 million for Laxalt but Lazio is ready to offer a maximum of 10, plus any bonuses.
The two clubs are now on excellent terms, certainly in this sense of the recent transfer of Federico Marchetti and previous deals. Lazio and Lotito could take advantage of this current harmony to try to convince Genoa to consider some players to include in the deal. Perhaps one of Basta, Bastos, Caicedo and Di Gennaro could prove to be a good counterpart to conclude the deal between Lazio and Genoa for Diego Laxalt.
