Marko Grujić: Lazio Following Liverpool Midfielder

According to reports from Sportitalia, Lazio are interested in Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujić. Biancocelesti Sporting Director Igli Tare is already said to be working on closing the operation and bringing him to Rome; the cost of signing Grujić is likely to be around €5-€10 million as his current contract expires in 2020.

The Serbia international, born in 1996, is owned by The Reds but was on loan at Cardiff City this spring, where he made 13 appearances and managed to score one goal.

Grujić was Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s partner in both the Under-19 Serbia side (where they won the European Championship in 2013 and in 2015) and the Under-20 Serbia side (where they won the Under-20 World Cup). Strong physically but also technically adept, Grujić is quite similar to the current Lazio midfielder.

Grujić will also be part of the Serbia national team that will play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He has already been called several times to the senior national team, collecting 8 appearances thus far.
