Report: Lazio think of Udinese’s Jakub Jankto

Whilst Lazio are working, hopefully hard, to secure a signing before the World Cup begins, the reality may be that we don’t see any real incomings till after the World Cup. According to reports from Radiosei, the 22-year-old Czech attacking midfielder Jakub Jankto is the latest name on Lazio’s shopping list; as the Udinese midfielder is a possible replacement in the event of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic‘s departure.

Jakub Jankto played 39 times for Udinese in all competitions in the 17/18 season, scoring six and assisting five goals. In addition, he made an average of 1.7 key passes, 1.6 shots, 1.2 long balls and 28.4 passes per game.

According to Radiosei, Udinese president Pozzo will be asking for a fee in the region of €15 million if he is to part with Jankto. This fee is minuscule in comparison to the astronomical figures that may be bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and therefore could be a quality replacement.

Jankto shares an agent with Lazio midfielder Danilo Cataldi so it will be interesting to see if Tare and Lotito can use their existing connections to help broker a deal.
