It could be the first official signing for Lazio. After the unofficial signings of Mattia Sprocati and Silvio Proto, the biancoceleste club is said to be close to another signing. This time it is Riza Durmisi, a Danish left-winger of Spanish side Real Betis.
According to the latest edition of La Repubblica, the Spaniards have accepted the offer of 7 million euros for the 24-year-old, who has a contract expiring in June of 2021. Lazio will now try to find an agreement with Durmisi who over the past season was also approached by rivals Roma.
Durmisi is a left-back capable of playing up and down the whole flank. Just finishing up a proper season with Real Betis in La Liga, he would be used on that left side of a five man midfield. He managed 24 appearances and 2 goals over the past year.
Despite being born in Copenhagen (January 8, 1994), Durmisi has Macedonian origins, but of Albanian ethnicity. Physically he is not very big – with a height 168 cm and a weight of 67 kg – but he possesses talented speed, excellent strength and good technique.
Maybe, now we have Lazio’s first summer signing?
