Report: Lazio scouting Roger Guedes as Felipe Anderson nears exit

The latest reports from LaLaziosiamonoi are suggesting that today is the day that meetings between West Ham and Lazio will take place that could finalise the future of Brazilian winger Felipe Anderson. Felipe Anderson has had a patchy season, with an injury and a falling-out with Inzaghi meaning that he has settled for the bench for most of the season. Luis Alberto has been in fine form and Inzaghi hasn’t played with out and out wingers.

As one Brazilian nears his exit, another reappears on Igli Tare’s shopping list. Palmeiras’ Roger Guedes is a name that has come up before but with the player in tremendous form; the idea springs up again. This season, whilst on loan at Atletico MG, he has scored 8 goals and picked up 3 assists in just 10 games (excluding one substitute appearance). With an average of 3.5 shots, 1.5 key passes, 2 successful dribbles and 3.5 fouls won per game, Roger Guedes has been causing Brazilian defences all sorts of problems.

Now, ultimately there is a gap in quality between the Brazilian league and Serie A, however, Felipe Anderson made the switch in 2013 and quickly became an integral part of the Lazio clockwork. If it worked for Felipe, there’s no way in telling that it wouldn’t work for his replacement…
