Report: Lazio slap €40m price-tag on Strakosha as Liverpool insist

As Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp continue their search for another goalkeeper; given the unreliability of Loris Karius, the reports linking them to Lazio keeper Thomas Strakosha keep coming.

Today, CittaCeleste have reported that Liverpool, although monitoring other tracks, are open to discussions surrounding Strakosha but with Lotito demanding €40 million, it is currently unclear if the Merseyside club will even try and bid.

Strakosha was an important part of the Lazio side which, this season, narrowly failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League; suffering defeat to Inter Milan on the last day of the season. Lazio were heartbroken and the summer could make things worse as top players are being constantly linked with moves away.

After reported interest from Leverkusen earlier in the week, there could be somewhat of a bidding war as clubs look to tempt Lazio’s young Albanian away. Tare and Lotito will be keen to keep the young goalkeeper; yet money talks and if Liverpool were to come in with a killer bid, Lazio might find it too good to turn down.
