If there was going to be one certain of this summer’s transfer window, you can bet that it would likely be Dusan Basta’s Lazio departure. The veteran right-back has fallen out of favour at the Stadio Olimpico and with the introduction of Adam Marusic, the Serbian is deemed as surplus to requirements.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Parma and Bologna have proposed offers for Dusan Basta and with Lazio already hunting for a new right-back, Basta’s time in Rome looks to be nearing its end. There is just a year left on his Lazio contract and all signs point to the Serbian remaining in Serie A.
Now, we will just have to wait for an official bid to be made; to see just how much Lotito will be able to get for Basta. It is not likely to be huge amounts of money but, knowing the Lazio management, they’ll get every penny they can.
