It has been one of the main topics surrounding Lazio for the past few weeks – “who is Riza Durmisi and when will he be joining the biancocelesti?”
Born in 1994, Durmisi is a Dane (born in Denmark), with parents from Albania. He started his career with Brondby IF in Denmark in 2013, before leaving his homeland to head to Spain where he joined Real Betis. A left midfielder, defender, or wing-back, Durmisi has made over 50 appearances for the Spanish side, with this past season picking up 3 goals and 8 assists.
Durmisi was a surprise transfer report for all Lazio fans – the first report surrounding him was that Lazio and his Real Betis had found an agreement to sign the player. This has made all transfer speculation around Lazio seem very suspicious, as it looks like Tare and Lotito are actually doing business, just under the noses of everyone to be able to hear and report on.
Today, Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed what fans were finally waiting for: the deal has been finalized, the player and club have found an understanding, and the 24-year-old will take his medicals tomorrow at the Paideia clinic.
