Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez is a concrete goal for Lazio. The club, who has tried for Papu in the past, have now found an agreement with the player according to Gianluca Di Marzio, however, the Biancocelesti still have to deal with Atalanta, the current club of the Argentine.
The now 30-year-old striker has become a true captain and symbol of the Nerazzurri since joining back in 2014 from Metalist Kharkiv: he has made over 135 appearances for the club.
There is distance on the cost of his transfer, with a few million euros the difference between supply and demand.
The player, meanwhile, today was in Milan for lunch with his agent Beppe Riso and his teammate Andrea Petagna: below are the pictures.
Di Marzio however, has since reported that Atalanta has deemed Papu Gomez as untouchable: in fact, for the Nerazzurri club the striker is not on the market.
This is now therefore the position of Atalanta, who puts up a wall to block that transfer of their captain, unless they get the money they desire.
