According to Radiosei, Lazio have found a new target in their shortlist for replacements for Felipe Anderson. The latest, Lucas Paqueta of Flamengo in Brazil.
Paqueta, 20, is a part of Brazil’s U20 set-up, as well as being a target for a number of top clubs. Paqueta has a high release clause of €48m but the thinking is that Lazio could tempt Flamengo with an offer of around €25-30m, once Felipe Anderson is sold to West Ham. With the addition of bonuses and a sell-on clause, as Lazio have used to get the price down for Milinkovic-Savic and Felipe Anderson in the past, Paqueta could be a realistic target for the biancoceleste.
Paqueta is compared to ex-Chelsea #10 Oscar, with the players having very similar styles of play. This would allow Simone Inzaghi to have a more creative outlet than Felipe Anderson in that CF role in the 3-5-1-1. Lucas Paqueta’s contract expires in 2020, Flamengo are working hard to extend it but Lazio, as well as possibly Liverpool, come calling…
