After a long period of waiting, Francesco Acerbi could finally be set to join Lazio. According to the latest reports from Tuttosport, a deal between the two clubs has finally be agreed and the player could have his medical at Lazio within the next 24 hours.
The reported fee for Acerbi’s services if €8 million and Danilo Cataldi, who we felt never really was in Simone Inzaghi’s plans for next season.
This comes after news yesterday that Acerbi was attempting to push through the move to Lazio himself; stating to the Sassuolo president that he is only interested in going to Rome and that a deal should be made as soon as possible.
All eyes will turn to Lazio now as we await official confirmation of procedure, yet it appears as though De Vrij’s replacement will join before the Dutchman officially leaves for Inter at the end of his contract.
