Report: Real Betis want Lazio forward Felipe Caicedo

In what should come as good news to Lazio fans, Felipe Caicedo will be nearing the end of his time in the Italian capital. After a poor season for the biancoceleste, the Ecuadorian forward appears to be leaving the club this summer.

According to reports fromĀ Mundo Deportivo, Real Betis are interested in signing the forward. After the deal to bring Riza Durmisi from Betis to Lazio, the clubs will be on good terms and a deal could work out. Several clubs are reportedly interested but the Seville-based club appear to be favourites.

Betis will be playing Europa League football next season after a fantastic season but are losing lots of stars to bigger clubs; Fabian Ruiz to Napoli and Durmisi already signed for Lazio.

The departure of Caicedo will free up a non-EU spot in the Lazio side and this will make room for Wesley Moraes of Club Brugge; should the Brazilian complete a switch to Rome.
