Report: Lazio interested in former Brazil international Dedé

It appears as though Lazio could be aiming to make more defensive signings, with the arrival of Francesco Acerbi reportedly imminent. The latest name from Premium Sport journalist Andersinho Marques is Cruzeiro defender Dedé.

A player who will be recognised by many a FIFA player – the centre-back is 29 and has never played football outside of Brazil. Marques says that Lazio are very interested in the player, yet it is unclear whether or not they will bid.

For Lazio to sign Dedé, they would need to likely sell one of Wallace or Bastos; and could cost the biancoceleste around €10 million.

Dedé has 9 caps and 1 goal for Brazil and at 192cm, is a powerful aerial threat. In what could perhaps be a risky move for a player who has never played outside his home country, Lazio would be making a huge gamble – one which Lotito and Tare could perhaps be reluctant to make.
