Lazio to miss out on €2 million Lucas Biglia bonus after Milan punishment

The transfer of Lucas Biglia to AC Milan last summer ended up being a great deal for the Biancocelesti. The Argentine midfielder was sold for 21 million euros, including bonuses, and given the fact that Biglia only had one more year left on his contract with Lazio it certainly was a good move. Lucas Leiva has also proven to be an even better player, a replacement that Lazio fans couldn’t have even dreamt of . At the same time, Lucas Biglia and Milan struggled last season – failing to make a place in the UEFA Champions League; despite spending around €200m.

But these days it is clear that Milan, in case of the disqualification from UEFA competition, will damaged Lazio. Lazio would miss out on a €2 million bonus related to the Biglia deal that would be paid in the event that Milan made a European competition. Now it is up to TAS to decide whether or not Milan should be allowed to play in Europa League next season.
