Report: Loan to Serie B Looking Likely for Luca Crecco

With Valon Berisha’s transfer to Lazio essentially done, the Biancocelesti’s midfield is starting to crowd. This could result in another loan for Lazio’s youth academy graduate Luca Crecco.

The Italian was last on loan at Avellino in Serie B for the first half of the 2016/17 season and another loan to a Serie B club looks likely for next season. Crecco has gone on loan to Serie B sides Ternana, Virtus Lanciano, Modena, Trapani, and Avellino since his promotion to the senior squad in 2013.

The 22-year-old was surplus to requirements last season, making only two Europa League appearances and did not make a single appearance in the Coppa Italia or in Serie A.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the most likely destinations for his loan appear to be Avellino, freshly-relegated Crotone or Perugia. The coming days will be important to understanding where Crecco will play next season. Hopefully another loan to Serie B will give him the playing time he needs to develop further.
