Lazio have been busy as of late after finalizing deals for Sprocati, Durmisi and Berisha, with Silvio Proto arriving shortly and a Wesley Moraes deal potentially being finalised in the next few days. Lazio are now concentrating their efforts on finally agreeing to a deal with Sassuolo for defender Francesco Acerbi.
Corriere dello Sport have reported that Lazio have offered Sassuolo 10 million in cash or the option of 6 million in cash and Danilo Cataldi to complete a deal for Acerbi. Sassuolo on the other hand wanted 15 million for the player but have dropped their price to 12,5 million, which they are not willing to budge from. This complicates things and is stalling a potential agreement because Lotito is also not willing to budge on the two offers he already gave Sassuolo.
Both parties are hopeful things will be resolved in the next few days and that Acerbi can finally officially become a Lazio player. Lazio do have alternatives ready on defence in case a deal does not get done, with interest in Croatian international Caleta-Car from Salzburg, Vestergaard from Borussia Monchengladbach and the Argentinian Marcos Senesi.
