The World Cup is over and now the future of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic must be decided within the coming weeks and months. Real Madrid, Manchester United and Juventus have all been favourites for a while, yet rumours of Barcelona have been mentioned.
According to the latest reports from outlet La Repubblica, Barcelona have a secret weapon when it comes to securing the Serbian’s signature. This manifests itself as Brazilian midfielder Rafinha, who spent the 2nd half of the 18/19 season on loan at rivals Inter Milan.
Inter had an obligation to buy Rafinha, activated if they achieved Champions League football. They narrowly pipped Lazio to 4th place, yet refused to pay Barcelona the full amount and therefore, Inter and Barca are on bad terms. Therefore, Barcelona could look to assist Lazio in getting one over on their rivals by giving them a great player in exchange.
