With the departure of Stefan de Vrij, there is a hole in Lazio’s defence. The Biancoceleste want to bring Francesco Acerbi to Rome from Sassuolo, yet there are plenty of centre-backs at the club who will be fighting for a place next season, like Angolan defender Bastos.
Speaking to an Angolan radio station, Bastos said:
“My goal is to stay at Lazio , I still have a 3-year contract with the biancocelesti, in my role there are many strong players, this pushes me to work even more to deserve a place in the team.”
“I have to grow mainly in tactics, the level of the Serie A is very high. In Italy you must always be focused. This has helped me to grow as a player.”
“The derby? Lazio is the first club in the capital and the rivalry is very strong.”
