Report: As Lotito sets a €100m price-tag, Milan give up on Immobile

There have been a lot of murmurs over the past week that AC Milan are serious about Ciro Immobile, which, although hilarious and unlikely, have now been totally stamped out.

According to Radiosei, Claudio Lotito has set a price tag of €100 million for the prolific Italian goalscorer.

Now, considering that AC Milan broke the rules and regulations of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play,  being able to cough up a €100 million bid is highly unlikely. Not only this but they have recently spent €25 million to permanently sign flop Nikola Kalinic, who himself was sent home from the World Cup for refusing to come on as a substitute.

Furthermore, AC Milan face a ban from next season’s Europa League and therefore will have even less income and must spend much less than they had originally intended.

With Carlos Bacca, Kalinic, Andre Silva and Patrick Cutrone all on the books, AC Milan will not be signing Immobile and Lotito expects to sit down with the forward in the autumn to discuss a new contract.
