Report: Rossi or Sprocati to join Cataldi in deal to secure Acerbi?

The negotiations between Lazio and Sassuolo for Francesco Acerbi will not stop. The defender wants to wear the biancoceleste shirt and Inzaghi has chosen him to be Stefan De Vrij’s replacement, but at the current moment, the Emilians have not yet accepted the offers that have been proposed by Claudio Lotito and the club.

€10 million, or €6 million + Danilo Cataldi are both deals that do not satisfy Sassuolo: they request a total amount of €15 million. In the coming days, there is likely to be accelerated contact between the two clubs, as Lazio would like to give time to coach Simone Inzaghi for training purposes ahead of the new season that starts on July 11th.

This morning, Radiosei has reported that a solution could be found with the inclusion of new counterparts in the deal. Sassuolo, after the departure of Politano, have enquired about Mattia Sprocati, who was recently purchased from Salernitana. Claudio Lotito does not want to let him leave on a permanent basis, but a loan remains a possible option. The idea was for the player to start this season in the Auronzo training camp, where he would be evaluated by Inzaghi, but the ability to play with continuity at Sassuolo could change the cards on the table.

In addition, there is attention towards Lazio 21-year-old striker Alessandro Rossi, who spent last season on loan at Salernitana. Sassuolo is said to be interested in the player, who could also be a possible addition in bringing Acerbi to Lazio.
