It appears as though the deal for Francesco Acerbi’s move to Lazio is edging dangerously close to total collapse. Lazio are only prepared to pay a fee in the region of €10 million whilst Sassuolo’s demands have dropped from €15 million to €12 million; a fee that Lotito is seemingly unwilling to meet.
Speaking to CittaCeleste, Sassuolo director-general Giovanni Carnevali has said: “Everything is silent on the axis with Rome. Friday begins the withdrawal and Acerbi will present itself. I do not expect any move by Lazio between today and tomorrow because I do not see any interest in filling a minimum distance. We have lowered the price just to please the player, but Lotito does not stop.“
According to reports, Danilo Cataldi is no longer included in the deal, meaning the Italian may stay at Lazio.
