Report: Juventus pull out of race for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are officially pulling out of the race for Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

According to the Italian paper, Lazio’s asking price of around €150 million is too much for the Old Lady and therefore, the Turin side have pulled out of the deal, leaving only Real Madrid and Barcelona in the race for the midfielder.

Manchester United pulled out of the pursuit just last month for the same reason and it appears unlikely that Real Madrid and Barcelona will cough up the money required.

Therefore, although it may be too early to say, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could indeed remain at Lazio; especially considering Claudio Lotito’s passionate speech about selling players ahead of Lazio’s pre-season camp yesterday.
