It is slowly reaching a point of ultimatum in West Ham’s pursuit of Felipe Anderson. The Lazio winger has been strongly linked with a move away but, with every day that passes, the move is seeming increasingly unlikely.
If the move does go through, Lazio have already drafted up a potential list of replacement to bring to the Stadio Olimpico. The latest name that Italian paper Corriere dello Sport are suggesting is Danish forward Martin Braithwaite.
Braithwaite currently plays for English Championship outfit Middlesbrough and will be likely available for a fee in the region of €10 million. The 27-year-old Dane was at the World Cup with his national team as they crashed out of the Round of 16 after a penalty shootout loss to Croatia.
The Braithwaite deal entirely hinges on Anderson’s departure, which, as previously mentioned, is reaching a ‘do-or-die’ stage of negotiations.
