Francesco Acerbi has not been present to both of the medical visits with Sassuolo to this current date. He has expressed his willingness to go to Lazio but the two parties continue to negotiate on the matter.
This afternoon, Chief Executive Officer of Sassuolo Giovanni Carnevali was asked about the dilemma between Lazio and Sassuolo for the player in a press conference. Here is what the Italian had to say to the Sky Sports microphones.
“Acerbi has made a choice – said the neroverde man – and we have come to accept that the player has the desire to go to Lazio. However, there is still distance between us and the biancoceleste club. The distance is short, but if not met, Acerbi will stay with us.”
“Who has no desire to stay at Sassuolo is better to leave, but it has to be under the right conditions. With Lazio, even knowing Lotito, every negotiation is complicated. We have tried to meet Acerbi’s wishes and have lowered our requests twice. For us Acerbi it is crucial: we know that we can not keep him, but we can not sell him on terms that are not just. I hope we can solve the transfer, especially for him”
