Lazio’s pre-season summer training camp in Auronzo is coming shortly and the squad has reportedly been submitted, with Inzaghi having decided on who to bring with him. There is just one major player excluded from the squad, Belgian left-back Jordan Lukaku.
This comes after rumours linking Lukaku, younger brother of Manchester United forward Romelu, to a potential move to join his brother in the English Premier League. West Ham are reportedly favourites; wishing to tie up a double-deal for both the full-back and Felipe Anderson.
However, this is where the plot thickens – as Felipe Anderson has been included in the Auronzo squad. This indicates that, as we have thought over the past few days, a move away from Lazio could be collapsing – as West Ham patience begins to wear thin.
Lazio and West Ham have failed to agree upon a deal for the Brazilian winger and it is now looking increasingly likely that he will remain a Laziale next season. However, the future of Lukaku is now further in doubt; will he be at the Stadio Olimpico in August?
