After the gray smoke that had appeared yesterday, it seems that the deal to bring Sassuolo’s Italian defender Francesco Acerbi to Lazio, has finally been unblocked. According to Mario Giunta of Sky Sports, the biancoceleste club is still working today to define the details of the transfer for the 30-year-old, but the player is in agreement with the neroverde club, not appearing at the clubs training grounds once again today, to define terms with Lazio. The topic of talk seems to be bonuses, which are the final details before the closure of the transfer to bring Acerbi to the Stadio Olimpico.
Francesco Acerbi has not been present to any of the medical visits with Sassuolo to this current date. He has expressed his willingness to go to Lazio, and yesterday Chief Executive Officer of Sassuolo Giovanni Carnevali talked about the matter: “Acerbi has made a choice – said the neroverde man – and we have come to accept that the player has the desire to go to Lazio. However, there is still distance between us and the biancoceleste club. The distance is short, but if not met, Acerbi will stay with us.”
Hopefully the deal is able to be completed soon, as Lazio prepares for Auronzo.
