According to what has been recently reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Wolverhampton Wanderers are serious about their interest in Lazio’s Angolan centre-back, Bastos.
Bastos has struggled to settle well in the team and it has been thought that either he or Brazilian defender Wallace would be heading for a Lazio exit.
Now, reports suggest that Wolves are preparing their first bid, which is believed to be in the region of €20 million – a huge sum of money.
Bastos signed for Lazio from Russian Premier League side FK Rostov in 2016 for a fee of around €5 million and his current contract expires in 2020, with an optional one-year extension.
If Wolves were to cough up €20 million, Lotito would likely accept – thus spelling the end of the Angolan’s time in Rome.
