Report: Lazio and Fenerbahce want Arsenal’s Joel Campbell

According to what has been reported by Bola today, both Lazio and Fenerbahce are interested in signing out-of-favour Arsenal forward Joel Campbell.

Joel Campbell, 26, has recently returned from Russia after his native Costa Rica were eliminated in the group stage of the World Cup. He has failed to settle in at Arsenal and has never really been given a chance at the Emirates.

Now, with Unai Emery appointed as Arsene Wenger’s successor as head coach at Arsenal, Campbell has very little place left in the ranks in North London.

Campbell rose to prominence after his performances in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, where he performed extraordinarily well – with Costa Rica topping a group unbeaten alongside the likes of Uruguay, Italy and England. They beat Greece in the Round of 16, before crashing out against 3rd placed finishers Netherlands in the quarter-final.
