Claudio Lotito: “Deadline for a Milinkovic-Savic transfer must happen before the end of July”

There has been no shortage of speculation on Milinkovic-Savic’s future. As the window has gone on, there has been relatively little movement in the talks and beyond the already high interest stated, none of the clubs with potential offers have yet made a committed move, though some rumours suggest Real Madrid offered not only Lotito’s asking of around 150 million euros, but an un-named player as well.

Claudio Lotito has now made his point very clear on the situation: either the transfer happens by the end of July or it is over. That is a very strict and heavy-handed blow to most interest parties, as Lotito is not known for leaving much negotiating room in his deals.

The clubs interested thus far (Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United) will need to get their funds together quickly if a move is to occur – this could see a Ronaldo deal pick up pace as the thought is that this will help Real Madrid fund the Milinkovic-Savic purchase.
