According to what has been learned by CittaCeleste, Lazio are preparing an assault on Corinthians right-back Fagner. The 29-year-old, formerly of Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg, was on international duty with Brazil at the World Cup; before they exited at the hands of Belgium in the quarter-finals.
Fagner signed for Corinthians from Wolfsburg after spending two years on loan in Brazil, firstly with Vasco da Gama, and then with Corinthians. He originally came up through the youth setup at the Brazilian club, before moving to Europe when he signed for PSV Eindhoven in 2007.
After pinging around clubs for the past decade, Igli Tare is said to be interested in bringing him to Rome. Napoli have also reportedly enquired in recent weeks, whilst Lazio are preparing to launch a €6 million bid for the full-back.
However, reports suggest that Lazio will first look to offload either Dusan Basta or Patric, before signing the Brazilian.
