According to what has been reported by Radiosei, Chelsea, with the arrival of Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach, are interested in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Sarri is attempting to bring a Serie A contingent with him to London from Italy; having already signed Jorginho from Napoli as a part of the deal for the manager to move himself.
A player who Radiosei are reporting could be included in a deal to take Sergej to England is Cesc Fabregas, formerly of Arsenal and Barcelona. The veteran midfielder has a contract currently expiring in 2019 and Napoli are also said to have been interested in the Spaniard.
The main stumbling block, it appears, would be the player’s wage demands; with the midfielder currently earning around €8 million a season. However, if he is likely to be played less under Sarri, Fabregas could choose to prioritise playing time over wage.
It may not seem altogether likely but there is a hope and, if Chelsea wish to sign Milinkovic-Savic, they may have to include a player in the deal.
