According to reports from Sky Sports in Italy, Lazio are preparing to offer a new contract to veteran Romanian defender Stefan Radu.
This comes after reports suggested that there have been enquiries from the Turkish league about the availability of the 31-year-old.
The Romanian’s current contract with Lazio expires in 2020, yet, with 315 appearances so far for the Biancoceleste, the club want to extend this for at least another year or two.
Radu has been dubbed ‘Mr. Consistent’ for his reliability and consistency in defence. Originally a left-back, Radu has been deployed as a centre-back for Lazio in Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-1-1 tactic.
Now, negotiations will take place as Lazio look to keep hold of their man.
