With the departure of Felipe Anderson, the rumours continue to multiply for new arrivals: Vazquez, Gonzalo Nicolas Martinez, Lozano, Rony Lopes, Luan, Dzagoev, Giovinco – these are all players that have been linked to replace the Brazilian. In addition, there is also another according to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero. After purchases in Belgium for Milinkovic-Savic, Marusic and Lukaku, Igli Tare continues to look to the European nation for players under the radar to bring to Rome. His name? Hans Vanaken.
“Vanaken is the best number 10 in Belgium without a doubt, in fact too good for the league. I have no doubt that he will not be able to play in Serie A. At Club Brugge, they play a similar 3-5-2 and he is a left centre-midfielder like Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – he actually has the same build in terms of physical aspects, however his style of play is on a lesser level then Savic of course. I think it’s simply a logical transfer for Lazio.” – @laziolandforum
Vanaken was born in 1992 and plays the same role as Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson had for Lazio last season. His value currently sits at 6.75 million pounds, which is a bargain compared to what the other players on the list are valued at. A contract expiring in 2020, Vanaken looks likely for a move out of his home country to play for a major European club, and Lazio could be just that.
