Lazio’s Bosnian midfielder and captain Senad Lulic spoke today at a press conference from the Rodolfo Zandegiacomo Sports Center in Auronzo di Cadore.
“We are resuming on the path we started last season, the path with lots of fun and spirit, and hardwork. Of course, we have also shown that we can have fun on the field too. Our goal is to always remain united, inside and outside the pitch.”
On next season: “We want to improve every year – we are growing and we all know that the Serie A TIM is competitive and it will not be easy to do well. However, with unity, we can have one of the strongest clubs. We are here at Auronzo for this, to prepare ourselves in the best possible way ahead of next season – every year the teams get stronger.”
On the squad: “Felipe Anderson and de Vrij have left, but new players have arrived and I hope others will to: with strong players we can raise the level in training and in the game. The market is still open and we hope new reinforcements can arrive. The guys who have just arrived have been very motivated and have succeeded in giving new motivations to us who have been at Lazio for a long time; their hunger is very good for the group and, moreover, having strong players is very important for the team.”
On last season and moving forward: “We played well and scored a lot in the last season – we must continue to improve however, and not have any more lapses in concentration similar to what happened against Salzburg and Inter. We will have to be much stronger and not lose our heads in certain situations. Playing a very offensive match, it is normal to say off balance, but it will be necessary to find the right balance to concede as few goals as possible.”
